PhaseOne's label is at it again: Championing the underground.
Since the label's inception in summer of 2023, Sounds of Mayhem has showcased the more metallic styles of dubstep.
Its countless releases have allowed PhaseOne and his team to light a spark deep within the culture, carving out a new sub-sect of the bass music community.
Now, they're conquering Denver, Colorado, with the label's second-ever pop up event. It'll be on the rooftop of El Patio, located in LoDo on Wednesday, June 26. The show is being advertised as free with RSVP to a text line.
And while the artist lineup is still unkown, more details are coming soon.
"This label has always been about the culture since we started a year ago, with a huge focus on bringing up the underground," PhaseOne said. "These popups are a way of bringing some of that culture back to the current oversaturated scene."
Who doesn't love a free party?
Events like these are a great way for labels and brands to give opportunities to artists who have released and worked with them. PhaseOne said he's planning more Sounds of Mayhem popups in the future.
"We did our first one at the end of last year in LA which was a smash and figured Denver would be the next smart choice because of the thriving scene there," PhaseOne said. "We're also doing some of these as stage takeovers at some festivals this year too, so be on the lookout."
