ATLiens & Cyclops have officially pulled up to 'DIS FUNCTION'
What do you get when you combine two aliens and an egg? You get the suspects who just dropped a filthy new collab.
ATLiens and Cyclops are joining forces once again on DIS FUNCTION, a highly anticipated dubstep collab that has been building momentum across social media and other headlining sets throughout the summer. This is the second official collaboration between the two artists.
Fans immediately caught on to the single's unmistakable pre-drop vocal, “Call me erectile… the way I’m... at dis function.” It quickly became a trending “vocal stim."
DIS FUNCTION drops into a trippy barrage of low-end wubs, grimy dubstep, and absurd samples, giving the collaboration an off-kilter personality that both artists have woven into their respective sounds.
Cyclops explained "There are two things ATLiens and I both really like: memes and weird dubstep, so making a song that combines both was right up our alley."
Cyclops said that he started the track after seeing a TikTok with the line, "Call me erectile, the way I'm at dis function," and thought it would work perfectly as the vocal for the song.
From there, ATLiens really liked the idea and the tune came together quickly.
"After playing it out over the past few months, fans have been really eager for this one to drop," Cyclops said. "We’re both very excited to be putting out our second collab together, and knowing fans want this one too makes it that much more special.”
DIS FUNCTION is arriving during a major stretch for Cyclops. Cyclops continues to turn his eccentric, bass-heavy identity into one of modern dubstep's most recognizable sounds.
ATLiens continue to be one of the hottest duos in electronic dance music. The entire city of Denver has been talking about their second-ever Red Rocks headline, coming up quick on November 7.
And while ATLiens and Cyclops have officially arrived at 'dis function,' we suggest
you keep your dysfuntion to yourself.
