Deadbeats celebrates 10-year anniversary with 'We Are Deadbeats Vol 7'
17 tracks just dropped from artists like Smoakland, Mystic Methods, PapaJay, MaryDroppinz, AYCH, OverEazy, Blurrd Vzn, Emrys and more.
2026 has marked a major milestone for Deadbeats, as the influential bass music label is celebrating its 10 year anniversary.
Founded by the Toronto duo Zeds Dead in 2016, Deadbeats has grown into more than just a record label and has become a platform for forward-thinking bass music, rising talent and unforgettable live experiences across North America.
Over the past decade, Deadbeats has brought its sound to cities across the country through its signature events and takeovers, building a community that extends beyond just releases.
That same spirit can be traced back to Colorado, where Zeds Dead began their annual DeadRocks tradition at the ionic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2014.
What started out as a single-day event from 2014 through 2017 expanded into a two-day experience in 2018, a tradition that has continued ever since and has become one of the most anticipated weekends of the year in bass music. This year also marked the 5th year of the Deadbeats Backyard Jamboree, the label's Fourth of July block party.
Deadbeats is back with the seventh installment of the fan-favorite, We Are Deadbeats, compilation series. They just released 17 tracks from some of bass music's most exciting rising talent.
Among the 17 tracks featured on We Are Deadbeats Vol. 7, we've picked four to spotlight: AYCH x OVEREAZY's 9mm, Baclash's Rhythm, rSUN x Floret Loret's Mind and Emrys' Can't Stop Me Now.
Each of these songs deliver their own unique energy, helping make Vol. 7 one of the series' most diverse collections yet.

AYCH and OVEREAZY come out swinging on 9mm, kicking off the compliation with an immediate standout. Built around a slower tempo and heavy-hitting bassline, 9mm settles into a groove without sacrificing it's weight.
The track's rhythmic energy makes it a perfect mid-set transition, giving the crowd a chance to lock into the groover while keeping the low-end pressure alive.
Baclash keeps the momentum rolling with Rhythm, a track driven by a heavy buildup that we envision being made for the earlier stages of a live set.
It sits perfectly in the first few tracks of the comp, and has the energy to pull a crowd in and lock them into what's coming next. The second drop takes things up another level, bringing additional drums and bass elements into the mix and giving the track enough progression to let it ride from beginning to end.
rSun and Floret Loret are taking things in a darker direction with Mind, a deep bass cut that builds tension through an extended, atmospheric buildup.
Just when the track seems settled into a shadowy groove, the drop comes seemingly out of nowhere, unleashing a massive bassline built to put a sound system to work.
This song has a darker energy and an unexpected payoff, feeling suited for later stages of a set, when the crowd is fully locked in and ready to go deeper.
For Emrys, Cant Stop Me, represents more than just another release. Speaking on the meaning behind the track and the opportunity to be featured on We Are Deadbeats Vol 7, he shared:
"Cant Stop Me represents me taking a leap of faith and completely trusting my life's journey," Emrys said. "One of the messages behind the track is to believe in yourself, work hard for the life you want, and enjoy it."
Emrys said that releasing on Deadbeats is a dream come true.
The 17 tracks on We Are Deadbeats Vol. 7 showcase the talent and creativity moving bass music forward.
As Deadbeats celebrates its 10-year anniversary, Vol. 7 is a symbol of what the label has built over the past decade. With another generation of producers bringing fresh ideas to the table, the future of Deadbeats, and bass music as a whole, is looking as exciting as ever.
