Modal Nodes shocks the world with Port Zero EP, 'Alone'

Coming off their Planet Earth debut at Northern Invasion, Modal Nodes has become a household name.

"If I can find you, so can the Jedi."

Welcome to Planet Tatooine, where Modal Nodes has just said, "hold my beer."

In a whirlwind week, one that broke the Internet, Modal Nodes has reached a new high. Their debut-EP, Alone, has been released on INFEKT's imprint, Port Zero.

The EP features five tracks, plus two website exclusives. This release comes hot off the heels of a flabbergasting Modal Nodes Northern Invasion set that has left the riddim world speechless. This is being called their "Planet Earth Debut."

Several of the EP songs were played out live, and met with warm receptions. Acolyte appears to be a fan favorite, alongside Defeat, Alone, Victory and Show Me The Way.

The project was announced on Wednesday and was met with unwavering praise from fans, artists and bystanders. Artists like SweetTooth, MAD DUBZ, Ophion, ONARA and Moldae were vouching that this is by far one of the biggest things happening to our industry right now.

It makes sense that INFEKT and Port Zero would give the Alone EP a home. Modal Nodes first released with the label back on October 31, 2025, when their remix of Subfiltronik and Bommer's Planet Droid dropped, making them part of the Port Zero family.

This rollout happens with perfect timing as Modal Nodes videos from Northern Invasion still continue to surface around the Internet.

The Port Zero team told us that they had been keen on Modal Nodes for a while after noticing the buzz surrounding the project.

“For over a year now, track after track has blown us away," said Kyle Mooney, Port Zero Manager. "Everything feels so purposeful in their songs, like every single element was gone over with a fine tooth comb twice."

Mooney mentioned that the level of quality they've been able to achieve is impressive, and that it's refreshing to see the support they've earned for their releases.

"Just like everyone else we’ve been dying to hear some of their tunes in full and what better way to do that than to get a release from them on the label for everyone to hear?" Mooney said.
