The leader in London is creating a home for riddim, and for that, we thank them.

For a place recognized by many as the original birth place of dubstep, the scene felt empty to some. It felt inconsistent.

Now, SYN LDN is helping breathe new life into that legacy.

The city of London is re-emerging as a pulsating capital of dubstep culture in European scene. A place where riddim fans can find their tribe, attend regular shows and meet the artists they’ve streamed for years.

That’s exactly the way SYN LDN likes it.

And now, to celebrate their third anniversary, the brand has announced a stacked show featuring some of our scene's greats.

FULL SYN LDN THIRD ANNIVERSARY SHOW LINEUP:

Kompany

Samplifire

Stoned Level

SweetTooth

Yeah, you heard that right. It's going down on Friday the 13th of June at Colours, Hoxton in London, with Kompany and Samplifire.

The full lineup is being rounded out with SweetTooth and Samplifire, so not only will fans get their spicy dubstep, but they'll get their rowdy riddim, too.

SYN LDN has thrown shows with some of dubstep’s leading names, such as SVDDEN DEATH, Phaseone and Peekaboo. They also have an INFEKT, Must Die! 360 show on May 30 and a massive Subtronics headline coming up on Sept. 26

Have you ever felt like the odd one out? The Lone Ranger in a city where your music doesn’t have a place? Well, you wouldn’t be alone, especially in London, according to Kris Sikora, founder of SYN LDN.

“I loved the heavier sound, but there was no place for it,” Sikora said. "I started SYN LDN because I felt like a lot of UK dubstep fans were living in isolation, myself included.”

He took the plunge and decided to become the one to start throwing shows. Now, he says the dubstep scene in London is growing fast, in a grassroots kind of way. He and the SYN fam make a point of intentionally connecting fans, through group chats, pregames and goodvibes.

"While deep dubstep has always had a solid presence here, the heavier styles were neglected for years," Sikora said. "That part of the scene felt flat, but now there’s real momentum. We’ve built a family of bassheads who show up with serious energy — people who’ll travel across the country alone just to be at a show like this."

He told us that the community feels real, and his brand is growing in an authentic way that makes it seem like its found its rhythm.

"The wildest thing has been meeting the artists we used to listen to back in school as well as the ones we listen to and love today," Sikora said.

Well now, he's working with some of dubstep's biggest heroes. The scene is growing and this is only the beginning.

If you're a fan of the heavier styles, the headbanging vibes and the rowdy pits, join the celebration on June 13.

"London has always been an iconic city for dubstep — it helped birth the sound," Sikora said. "Now, we’re helping breathe new life into that legacy."

Help SYN LDN celebrate their 3rd anniversary with Kompany, Samplifire, Stoned Level and SweetTooth.
