You may have heard these songs inside a wall of death, as artists like Excision, Kompany, LAYZ & Crankdat have been playing them live.

VRG has long been a thought leader in the wide world of dubstep.
But now, he's zoned in. He's leveling up. And he's got something to prove.
Seven tracks make up VRG's AGAINSTALLODDS EP, which is a self-release that has given fans four singles already.
The lead single, attitude!, was released back in April and has been the go-to wall of death song for LAYZ during her Aftershock tour and within more recent sets. It was also supported by Crankdat during his b2b with Tape B at EDC Las Vegas.
Dubstep's Lord and Savior, Excision, co-signed the song exhumed, during his EDC Las Vegas set as well.

And while many of us will always remember VRG for his anthem, Womp Womp with Rated R (COVID, anyone?), this new batch of songs is turning over a new leaf.
This EP is capturing the pure essence of VRG's sound with elements from all the styles that inspire him: Rap, metal, tearout, dubstep, hybrid trap and more.
"The project as a whole represents the highs and lows I’ve gone through over the past few years, coming from absolute zero," VRG said. "The last half of the EP is the rebirth, the coming-to-terms phase. It’s about getting back on your feet, letting the past go, enjoying the present moment and embracing the people who surround you through it all."
It's giving us chills as we write this because his time has come. He's breaking through with a collection of ground-shakers that are being recognized across the industry.

"Fans can expect me to keep leveling up while staying true to my sound and vision — both in the music I release and the energy I bring to my sets throughout the year," VRG said.
And by "leveling up," we see exactly what he means. The track, FACE2FACE with Young Drumma, proves that he's not here to play, and captures the gritty essence of street rap with the metallic and heavy elements of dubstep that we love.
These songs have been staples in VRG sets since 2024, and the final track on the EP, 2FARGONE, is one that he's been closing his sets with for even longer. He told us this song is his favorite on the project.
"2FARGONE [is] alot less heavy and is a song I always went back to to remind me that this life is all I've ever wanted and all I need," VRG said. "It’s the glue that ties the whole journey together."
