Au5 releases debut single Bridges ahead of next studio project

The transcendental synth-god releases latest track on Ophelia ahead of latest studio album

With numerous eyes and ears added to our agency recently, our senses have never been more sharp for those who bring their unique skill and sound to the industry. The Filthy Beat Inspectors are always on the lookout for releases to quench our insatiable thirst for bass music.

Our friends over at Ophelia Records have continuously provided the latest and greatest hits to this subgenre of Melodic Dubstep that we call home. Without monopolizing over all the art and sounds that are constantly being produced today, Ophelia artists never cease to amaze with the influential sound designs that will carry on for generations of dance music.

Anybody who has been remotely involved in the scene over the last decade has surely heard the name Au5 (pronounced A-U-5). This producer has seemingly never slowed down with it comes to pushing the boundaries of how dance music can expressed. With his latest release Bridges, producer Austin Collins pairs with vocalist Linney to bring you a heartwarming melodic bass track with addicting dance rhythms.

The angelic bass and synths that are truly characteristic of Au5 pair ever so perfectly with the vocals by Linney and the meaning behind the song's lyrics. Bridges are symbolic of connections, bringing two seemingly distant objects or people together. Being drawn by similarities or characteristics that you wouldn't even know were between two individuals may just compose the strongest bonds in the darkest of times.

We wanted to highlight how music is universal and how incredible it is that modern technology allows us to connect wherever we are. As we were writing it, we imagined two hands fearlessly reaching out for one another, longing for connection, spanning oceans, latching hands and interlocking fingers to create a literal bridge.
