This four-track EP sheds light on the 'popular demands' of artists in today's content creator scene.

Hey yo FIELDZ?
Ophion.
Breaking news: Popular Demand is here.
The latest project from Ophion and FIELDZ has landed in the form of four tunes that make up the Popular Demand EP.
This project started in Discord, where both artists would kick it and collab, throwing around ideas and bonding over the current state of the scene.
They spent months writing music every day, and were able to create something that captured both of their experiences.
“When we made this EP, we wanted the idea to be centered around the shift
from what the industry was to what it is now," FIELDZ said.
"Being an artist in the industry now is being more than a musician. With social media at the forefront of all marketing, it’s turned into a popularity contest of who can get seen instead of who gets heard," FIELDZ said.

And he's got a point — today's musical landscape is cluttered with content creators, algorithms, influencers and bots. However, it's clear that both artists recognize the importance of being present and engaging with fans online.
The Popular Demand project memes the expectations, demonstrating each side of the content-versus-music dilemma that many artists face today.
The track list tells the whole story.

Popular Demand
Computer Speech

Engagement Farm
The anthems are tech-inspired, with pounding quarter notes and high-octane drops. The songs are mechanical and musical, representing both sides of the industry coin (content versus music) that we mentioned earlier.
Computer Speech is an absolute honker of a tune. It's a well-done riddim number that we are dreaming of hearing live. It's complete with a satisfying and well-branded pre-drop vocal, too: "It's what you've demanded."
"Who even cares about Popular Demand?"
Clever and catchy.
Engagement Farming features a tasty vocal, too: "Breaking news, Popular Demand have been caught engaged in farming... and are trying to be stopped..."
This feels like one of the fresh, new projects among a noisy industry landscape.

“This EP was such an insanely fun challenge to write and be a part of," Ophion said. "FIELDZ is someone who shares the same workflow I do. We are able to bounce ideas back and forth so easily. Combining our styles is always a fun challenge."
Both FIELDZ and Ophion are known for recent releases such as their remix of WARLORD's viral hit tune MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB on BIN, which featured a nod to Popular Demand within a pre-drop tag.
It's about time we see more fresh projects like these.
Now is your chance to discover Popular Demand before they blow up.
And stay locked with FIELDZ because we are dropping a hot new mix with him later this month.
You heard it here first, folks.
