HARD SUMMER JUST GOT HARDER

SoCal's favorite multi-genre music festival returns to old stomping grounds with an insane lineup

Hard Summer Music Festival is back in downtown Los Angeles this year for its monumental fifteenth anniversary. Taking place August 5th and 6th, the festival will have stages spread across Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Exposition Park and BMO Stadium. Bye-Bye NOS!

Not only is Hard Summer taking place in a legendary location this year, it also has one of its most stacked lineups yet. Dubstep FBI is here to investigate some of the hard hitting acts you won't want to miss this August.

1. ISOxo (Saturday, August 5th)

The young trap GOAT from San Diego will be returning to HSMF for the second year in a row. In 2022, ISOxo had an absolutely earth-shattering performance on the green stage. Not only that, but he had an entire takeover at the Corona Beach Stage. The takeover included JAWNS, Mr. Carmack, Flosstradamus and more. Then, to top it off, ISOxo played a second set alongside his partner in crime Knock2 (who also plays this year on Sunday). Considering the caliber of performance he brought in 2022, and now with an album on the way, ISOxo is a can't miss this year.

2. Alix Perez (Saturday, August 5th)

The Belgian born legend returns to the states this year and will be making a stop at HSMF. Known around the world for being one of the most innovative producers of his time, Alix Perez does it all. From his ground breaking drum and bass tunes, his project SHADES (with Eprom) and his iconic electronic music label named 1985, missing the chance to see this set would be blasphemous.

3. IT HZ (Saturday, August 5th)

Powerhouse producers Chee and Jon Casey team up on this lineup in their collaboration project IT HZ. Both hailing from South Africa, these two producers have been taking the bass music scene by complete storm. If you've ever been lucky enough to see an IT HZ set, or even a solo set from one of them, you know these two bring unparalleled energy to their shows. IT HZ had their debut U.S performance in January of last year and will now be making their LA debut at HSMF.

4. Kayzo b2b Sullivan King (Saturday, August 5th)

Bass bosses Kayzo and Sullivan King will be bringing the heavy sh*t to HSMF in this violent b2b. Both have played solo sets at this festival before, but now they're here with twice the wrath. Headbanging, mosh pits and more, this set will definitely be full of the elements heavy dubstep lovers live for.

5. Frosttop (Sunday, August 6th)

Another fast-rising trap star returns to HSMF this year. Frosttop played two sets at Hard Summer last year, including an opening mainstage set and a drum and bass set at the Corona Beach stage. Since then, he's dropped a new EP and played a debut headline show in LA. We can expect this young SoCal based producer to bring the heat yet again this year.

6. Hamdi (Sunday, August 6th)

HAMDI. Need I say more? This UK-based producer has been on his U.S debut tour this year, and will now be making his Hard Summer debut. Hamdi's versatility is insane and his sound is so distinct. His smash-hit Skanka has become an anthem around the world, and he continues to drop banger after banger. I cannot stress this enough...you do not want to miss a Hamdi set. It very well may go down as one of your favorites.

7. Space Laces (Sunday, August 6th)

The king is here. Spaces Laces has been recognized as one of bass music's top producers for a while now. Pretty much every song he's dropped has been accepted as a total banger. We can expect a little of everything from him, from his dubstep heaters to his techno VIP of Dominate. He's played festivals around the globe and we're beyond stoked to see him on this lineup.

8. Tape B (Sunday, August 6th)

Tape B(east) makes his LA debut at HSMF this year. He's been taking off in the bass music scene quickly with his unique old school meets new school dubstep style. His spot on this lineup is so well-deserved, as he's been blazing his own trail for a while now.

9. Peekaboo (Sunday, August 6th)

Yet another bass music star spotted on this lineup. Peekaboo's name has been everywhere for a while, but he's hit some incredible milestones lately. To name a few, he hosted an iconic 360 show at the famous Hollywood Palladium, released a ridiculously sick tune with Skrillex and had a massive show at Mission Ballroom in Denver. He is also sitting on loads of unreleased music, so pull up to this set to get an exclusive listen.

10. Skrillex b2b Four Tet (Sunday, August 6th)

Last but certainly not least, Hard Summer hosts the legends themselves this year. Skrillex and Four Tet will be playing side by side in an incredible display of their talent. The two just closed out the mainstage at Coachella alongside their third partner in crime Fred Again.., achieving a monumental moment for dance music. These two are total icons, and not much needs to be said about the epic-ness this set will hold.

Hard Summer has been a top tier festival for years, but this year cannot be missed with this exceptional lineup.
