One thing we love most about this scene is how it thrives in the underbelly.

We're constantly discovering new artists. Coming across new songs. Seeing people we didn't know existed throw down live.

The scene is forever growing and evolving, and we're here to support.

These things are captured in the latest compilation from Kaiju Pit, the label and collective founded by destroyah. Kaiju Pit is the Godzilla-inspired label that he launched in 2021.

Monster Island Vol. 3 has landed and it features some absolute honkers.

There are 10 dubstep songs by artists like Finnuh and BrunchBeatz. It helped us discover new artists, too, like KRAZZ, Yatix and Violantic, among others.

Many of the artists on this compilation are also a part of the beloved Grocery Boiz community. Grocery Boiz features like-minded producers, content creators and video gamers both experienced and new, who help guide each other in the right direction. Their goal is to provide a space for support and feedback, centered on the mantra, "it takes a village."

Grocery Boiz members on Monster Island Vol. 3 include Soundwreck, BrunchBeatz, Gvtterspeak and destroyah.

In Godzilla, Monster Island is a place where many of the Kaiju live and fight, a place that sees the monsters' unique attributes, abilities and attacks. Destroyah told us that the symbolism of Monster Island in the movie aligned with his desire to elevate others within the dubstep scene.

Monster Island Godzilla

"That idea felt very similar to the artists I wanted to feature on these compilations, each with their own unique styles, sound design and branding," destroyah said. "The goal of each compilation is to shine a light on producers who are absolutely killing it and deserve to be heard."

There are so many artists who have little-to-no following who are creating absolutely amazing music. It just wasn't getting the recognition it deserved, so destroyah stepped in.

Through the Monster Island series, rising riddim and dubstep artists now have a platform to share their art and reach new audiences.

This one is worth a front-to-back listen on your best headphones, folks.
