The Aug. 9 & 10 shows will feature a rare Beastboi. b2b Cromatik, alongside sets from ANTIHERO & Kause in the Lone Star State.
Everything is bigger in Texas — and that includes dubstep.
Dubstep FBI has teamed up with Prime and Mark My Words on a double header set of shows that features slamming headliners, a rare b2b and a Texas debut.
These two shows will take place in Austin on Friday, August 9 at Kingdom, and in Dallas on Saturday, August 10 at Green Elephant. The Austin show features headliner Jkyl & Hyde, while the Dallas show features Hi I'm Ghost.
Support will be consistent across both shows, with the world debut of beastboi. b2b Cromatik, ANTIHERO and Kause. All four of these support artists have proven to be talented producers who are leading the next generation of bass music.
It's time to see how the Texas rave fam does it.
Jkyl & Hyde has blown up in the last few years.
Most recently, he's become known for an utterly viral reel he posted on Instagram late in 2023. It features his Armani White - Billie Eilish (Jkyl & Hyde Redo) that garnered 10 million views on Insta alone.
Since then, he's been picked up by United Talent Agency and solidified his place as a thought leader in our scene.
"The scene in ATX always feels special and I can count on them always showing love," Jkyl & Hyde said. "With such a stacked lineup, it’s awesome to be headlining an event in one of my favorite cities. After recently playing Excision’s Nexus Tour stop in Austin, I can’t wait to be back and share even more with new stuff with my fans from ATX."
Jkyl & Hyde told us to expect pure mayhem, because he's going to be playing a ton of new music.
Do not miss Hi I'm Ghost's return to Dallas.
He said this one will be unique because fans will get to hear some of his new metal-influenced music and some songs off his upcoming album.
"I'm excited to be back in Dallas and at the Green Elephant," Hi I'm Ghost said. "It's kind of where I got my start. I'm excited to be back in the small room, it'll be sweaty and fun. Texas has always been so great to me and by that time, the new metal-influenced music and a bunch of stuff from my album will be ready."
This show is bringing things full circle for Hi I'm Ghost, who will be performing Saturday, August 10 in Dallas. He's played there a few times to slammed rooms of rowdy headbangers.
We're expecting illegal activities to ensue before the headliners even take the stage. The first-ever Beastboi. b2b Cromatik is going down both nights and serves as a unique tasting platter for heavy bass fans, in an era where unexpected b2bs are becoming the new norm.
"Khai is absolutely demolishing the scene right now, dude is 100% the real deal," Cromatik said. "We’ve played together at the Grocery bash in arizona and the energy in the room about blew the roof off. this will be our first ever b2b as just us though and i know hes got some crazy stuff on his usb hes gonna play out and im so ready for it!
Cromatik said he's been watching the Texas rave scene evolve for 10 years now and feels like it's at peak authenticity and popularity. He said the Texas rave fam knows what's good.
"I think the Texas rave scene is unique in itself because you can tell there's love for the music, just by seeing the way people react, regardless of genre" Beastboi. said.
If there's one thing we've come to expect from an ANTIHERO set, it's doubles. And lots of them.
“Super stoked to be making my Texas debut," ANTIHERO said. "I’m honored to be part of two super sick b2b nights. Expect hella IDs and doubles and doubles of IDs.”
Another support artist, Kause, is the cherry on top of a heavy roster.
He's known for his insanely catchy song, Bad Intentions on Subsidia, as well as other releases on A Records, Bypass and Emengy.
The Texas rave scene is definitely filled with adventure and untapped talent," Kause said. "There are so many underground artist of all genres that make the entire community so unique. Texas is definitely one of those states where everyone is a friend of a friend and the shows just feel so special."
He told us that fans can expect that element of southern hospitality and comfort to be present at the shows, and that his sets will be full of high-energy vibes. Get hyped for the double header by streaming his illegal Kause & Effect Vol. 5 before the show.
