The Snazzy Effect: How WARLORD'S wildest track spawned a global riddim movement

When “MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB” first dropped, it was just another filthy WARLORD banger — until it wasn’t.

Mr. Snazzy Jogged Dub Remix pack by Warlord

Two years after its initial release, MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB has evolved into a full-blown internet phenomenon, soundtracking over 4,000 TikTok edits and melting faces in sets from bass heavyweights like Subtronics, Tape B, Kompany and Levity.

Subtronics even rinsed it during his b2b with Excision at Lost Lands, and the clip WARLORD posted from that moment clocked 11,000 likes and 130,000 views.

Now, WARLORD and Beat Intelligence Network (BIN) are celebrating the chaos with MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB (The Remixes) — a seven-track compilation packed with underground innovators who are twisting the tune in wild new directions.

Each remix adds a new flavor of distortion, proving just how far the “Mr. Snazzy" sound has spread. Remixers include Sanzu, Midroll, JG Dubz, INAKTIV, Ophion & FIELDZ and minima & TW!STY.

After a show in Quebec, WARLORD crashed at Khold’s place for a few days. “Seeing how fluent he was with remixing other people’s music made me feel kind of left out,” WARLORD said.

“I was still working in Reason 5 (2010)," WARLORD said. "When I got home, I took four of my biggest tracks and just mashed them all together.”

The Pothole City title came from Montreal itself. “If you’ve driven there, you know those roads are brutal,” he laughs.

That chaotic, stitched-together energy became WARLORD’s signature sound. It's raw, unpredictable and unapologetic riddim. MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB captured that perfectly, and the bass scene ate it up.

Midroll recalled, “Since Warlord and I go way back, I had access to the original projects that made up the mashup. That gave me an edge — I pulled in parts even he didn’t and added my own flair to make it a true blend of both our styles.”

JG Dubz is one of the international artists on the pack, as he's based in Brazil. He laughed with us about his approach.

“The original was already so complete. I tweaked the BPM to 144, made a few subtle changes… then six days before the deadline, three shots of vodka later, I wrapped up the VIP the way I wanted.”

Ophion told us that he enjoyed remixing a song that's been blowing up and uniting everyone within the industry.

"It was a ton of fun to remix a tune that has received so much support throughout the industry. I'm stoked to have my homie FIELDZ on this remix as well," Ophion said. "Stay tuned for more things from Popular Demand soon."

This remix pack feels full circle, as WARLORD is reclaiming his chaos and watching it ripple through a new wave of bass producers.

MR. SNAZZY JOGGED DUB (The Remixes) is proof that WARLORD’s brand of madness has gone global.
