JG Dubz absorbs us into the 'Sewers' with his new, 22-track riddim album

The Brazilian artist's Sewer Service Mixtape includes old-school, wonky and even tribal dub, with collabs from INAKTIV, pharma, Skraik, Yazen & more.

Imagine being deep in the dark sewers under your city.

Water is dripping, smells are abundant and you've just heard some heavy sounds.

These are the beats of JG Dubz's Sewer Service Mixtape, bumping below the surface.

Brazilian artist JG Dubz has just released his newest 22-track album. It explores the atmospheric and introspective side of dubstep, showcasing his sound design from across the riddim spectrum.

This mega-release features collabs with Yazen, Skraik, INAKTIV, P4, The Gremlins, IVAN, Nova, Snor, pharma, AOWL, Corruptt and odraud.

JG Dubz told us that Lil B was his inspiration for delivering 22 tracks on this project.

"I’ve always admired how Lil B is super prolific and I like his philosophy of, 'If you have good music, put it out for the people, don’t hide it,'" JG Dubz said. "I wanted to bring that same energy to a dubstep project."

The first song on Sewer Service Mixtape starts out with an old Lil B interview sample where he was being asked if this could be his last album.

"I used that sample because nowadays people’s attention spans are messed up, and not many really give a chance to a long dubstep project that’s more about that old-school, trancey vibe — especially one with 22 songs," JG Dubz said.

From front-to-back, the project showcases JG Dubz as an artist in many ways. It allows him to tap into the shadows and give us a peek inside his mind through sound.

"I called it Sewer Service Mixtape because I always picture these tunes playing in some dirty basement or a sewer tunnel," JG Dubz said. "I don’t know why, it just fits. Might even sound better down there."

JG Dubz has been cranking out tunes since 2017. He has several albums under his belt, including Archive Tapes 1, 2 and 3 and a Beat Intelligence Network release called Lurker. His most recent release was BOMMER's remix of his song, GAGA.

This has been a break-out year for the young artist, where he's gained traction around the world. In May, he played support for Subfiltronik in São Paolo, Brazil, then later on in the summer he traveled to Europe for shows with Space Invaderz and Bleefoef in Belgium and Hungary, respectively.

"If I told my 13-year-old self that in May 2025 I’d play at the same show as Subfiltronik in São Paulo and then go to Europe alone to play two more shows in two different countries, he wouldn’t believe me because time travel isn’t real but y'all get the vision," JG Dubz said.

If you take the time to research JG Dubz and absorb his discography, it becomes clear that he should be considered a leader in the underground scene. Someone who stays true to himself, while putting on the homies who have supported him from near and far.

"I’m really glad The Gremlins made a comeback for this project," JG Dubz said. "Happy to collab with my Brazilian homies Skraik, Odraud, and Yazen, as well as other dons like Inaktiv, Pharma, Ivan, Nova, P4, Snor, Aowl, and Corruptt."

If you're in the mood for old school riddim or beats that send chills down your spine, JG Dubz has the project for you. Check out his Sewer Service Mixtape, out now on all platforms.
