5 tracks and a collab with Future Exit have us salivating at this tasting platter of bass.
RZRKT has done it again.
His growling, meticuluous bass style has creeped through our AirPods. Five new songs are here in the form of his RUINS EP.
This project encompasses the very best of his avant garde sound design. It's the pit-crushing style we heard tear the speakers up at Lost Lands. And now, Bassrush, we thank you for your service of releasing this gem.
The EP features an elusive RZRKT collab with one of the brightest rising producers out of Canada, Future Exit, someone who fans have been asking for here in America.

RUINS was the first single off of this project, and was released on Oct. 11. Since then, RZRKT has played several festivals, including an internationally acclaimed set at Melkweg for the Blacklist x Monstercat show during Amsterdam Dance Event.
Not to mention, he's released a new jersey and even got brought out by Shaq to play their collab at Bass All Stars in Fort Worth last weekend. To top it all off, his song Dread (released on Monstercat in the spring) was added to Rocket League.
It's safe to say that RZRKT is the captain of the heavy dubstep realm right now. And it's cool to see him showcasing work with another young legend, Future Exit, from Canada.
Future Exit said that this song features a wave different of genre-blending and tones: We like to refer to it as a captivating chameleon.
"I think the main reason why I like Afterglow so much is because the structure of the track brings the listener through multiple genres and atmospheres," Future Exit said. "The intro is calm and relaxes the listeners ear, while the drop pushes every limit possible; From the heaviness, the aggressiveness, energy and much more."
Future Exit said that he's honored to have worked with RZRKT and that the process of making the collab from start to finish was oustanding, which is no surprise for anyone who has met and worked with RZRKT himself.
“[This] EP is a great example of the evolution of my sound, bringing my original sounds with the new," RZRKT said. "It’s been a year of learning for me and a lot of the new techniques I started to discover definitely impacted the overall output of this EP. Hope you guys enjoy the listen as much as I enjoyed working on it."
You can catch RZRKT on tour with Jessica Audiffred's Rave New World, upcoming in cities like Missoula, Seattle and Minneapolis.
