From coast to coast, we pulled together a list of the shows on our radar as the ball drops.
As the year draws to a close, the question on every raver's mind is, "What New Years' fest should I go to?" From streamers and fireworks to champagne and dancers, we compiled a list of the top ten New Year's Eve festivals that should be on your radar.
Hijinx NYE Festival Dec. 30-31
If you're in the northeast, look no further than Hijinx festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Held at the Philadelphia Convention Center, the lineup features heavy hitters such as Illenium, Excision and a very special Jauz b2b Kayzo set.
Being an indoor festival, there is no need to worry about freezing temperatures, and the sound system at the festival is known for being massive. With only one stage in the convention center, everyone packs in for one hell of a ride.
On the opposite side of the country in San Bernadino, California, Insomnniac's massive SoCal New Years festival Countdown NYE will take your breath away. Held at the National Orange Show Event Center, it is outdoors, but with historically comfortable temperatures during the day and cooler ones at night, outfit changes might be necessary.
With a massive lineup consisting of over 80 artists and four stages, there is no end to the fun. With acts such as Deadmau5, Tiësto, and Rezz Countdown has a variety of talented artists on stage this year.
Heading west, Decadence Arizona is another New Year's fest with a reputation for over-the-top experiences. Touted as "Arizona's largest New Year's Eve celebration," the festival is held at Rawhide Event Center in Chandler, Arizona.
With two main stages as well as a silent disco stage, the lineup is full of talented artists such as Alison Wonderland, Seven Lions and Diesel aka Shaquille O'Neil. Also held outdoors, temperatures do not typically get cold until night falls, so be prepared to dress warmly.
Decadence Colorado is one of the largest New Year's events in the country, having gone on for years and being quite well established. Held in Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, it is an indoor festival with two stages and a silent disco.
This year's talent includes international acts like Zeds Dead, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake and KAYZO. It is full of esteemed acts that will make for a wonderful two nights in the Mile High City. One thing to make sure of is to pay attention to the elevation, and if drinking alcohol, pay very close attention to your drink count, as non-natives will become intoxicated much faster.
Countdown Orlando Invasion
Heading back to the east coast, Insomniac is also hosting a countdown experience at the Orlando Amphitheater at the Center Florida Fairgrounds.
Featuring over 60 artists including 12th Planet, Slander and Rusko, Countdown Orlando Invasion originally had three stages. However, the original Countdown Campout was changed to its current name and moved to the Orlando Ampitheater. The Orlando Amphitheater is an outdoor venue, and as with the other outdoor venues, nights may get pretty chill even in Florida, so dress warm!
Lights All Night
With five stages (three indoor and two outdoor) and over 60 artists on the lineup, it is not one to be missed. Headliners include artists such as Black Tiger Sex Machine and Svdden Death, with other acts like Hi I'm Ghost b2b Rated R and 1788-L, so be ready for a crazy experience.
Lights All Night Minneapolis
Lights All Night Minneapolis is the little sibling of Lights All Night Dallas. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the historic Minneapolis Armory, it features two stages and approximately 25 artists.
An indoor festival, headliners include Sidepiece, Jauz, and Doctor P b2b Funtcase and a bunch of ladies including Steller, Zingara and Vampa. With art installations, vendors, and more, it's sure to be a treat if you're looking for a smaller festival that still packs a punch.
Headlined by both Griz and Zeds Dead, it also features a b2b between the two artists as well as performances from Clozee and Jantsen. With a 6,600 seat capacity it is a large arena, but will be packed with Zeds Dead and Griz fans from all over.
Upon further investigation we have discovered Contact has been canceled, and the organizers plan to return for Contact 2022.
Any festival you end up at will be a great time, just remember to hydrate and take care of your friends! If you are rocking the FBI gear on NYE, tag us in pics on insta.
