From gripping synths to dangerous melodies, NotLö is emerging as a star in the experimental bass world with her latest release on Wakaan Records.
After releasing her collab EP with Veil Exoplanet in January, this will be NotLö's first solo project on the label.
As the title track off the EP, Hallucination Effect dives deep underground before the other two tracks release on Aug. 31. Stay tuned for Dubstep FBI coverage of the full EP.
Hallucination Effect starts with an experimental beat, while a deep voice is intertwined with a hypnotizing drop that bounces listeners into a head nod.
Denver-based by way of Greenville, South Carolina, Alex Mantekas (Notlö) is quickly becoming one of the most exciting producers in underground bass music. In 2021, so far she has, most notably, dropped a collab EP with VEIL on Wakaan, as well as the Speakeasy EP on Deep, Dark, and Dangerous. She's also released two singles: Abysmal and Dismantle.
NotLö has resumed touring and hitting multiple festivals across the country, including Sound Haven and Big Dub this past weekend. We are predicting this to be her break-out year, with more big moves to come.
