ANTIHERO establishes dominance with debut EP on Rude Service, 'UNFORGIVEN'

Three banging tracks include collabs with young dubstep stars, Doc Glock and NVRT.

At Dubstep FBI, our agents are always seeking the heaviest, hardest and most aggressive songs The songs that make our necks snap and our faces crinkle.

Today, ANTIHERO has delivered just that.

This three-track EP called UNFORGIVEN sets a relentless tone for the future of heavy dubstep. It's his first full EP on Bear Grillz's label, Rude Service, and features songs with Doc Glock and NVRT.

The title track, UNFORGIVEN, was even premiered on the renowned YouTube channel, Dub Rebellion, this past Wednesday.

ANTIHERO said that this EP represents the struggles we face in reconciling our own past mistakes with our present selves.

"Each track is a piece of a larger puzzle, revealing the troubled journey of seeking redemption and grappling with the weight of unresolved emotions," ANTIHERO said.

These are deep messages that we all can relate to. He said themes of finding closure, reflection and cycles of pain are threaded throughout the project.

ANTIHERO recently performed at Denver's Ogden Theater as support for LEVEL UP, where a crowd of hungry headbangers showed up early to devour INCARCERATE, the Doc Glock collab. This year, he has also played at Darkstar Tempe, TK Lounge and Moonwalk Festival, among others.

The two collabs are banging IDs that fans have been thirsting over for months.

"ANTIHERO and I got in touch through a mutual friend (shout out MVSLO)," Doc Glock said. "We wanted to make something that could be blasted mainstage or in the car with your homies... We [tried] to make this tune SMACK AS HARD AS POSSIBLE, and I feel like we nailed it!"

ANTIHERO said that this song is a vivid portrayal of how our own minds can become the most confining cell, holding us captive until we find the key to liberation.

One of the most anticipated IDs on the EP is the NVRT collab. NVRT is a young prodigy based in Mexico who has become known around the globe for his bloodthirsty and aggressive sounds.

"I started to look for good ideas and I found that Lockdown flip I made for Excision and Wooli (which you can hear in my Riot Control Radio mix) and [ANTIHERO] was like, 'Holy smokes bruh,'" NVRT said. "I was like 'Hell yeah bruh.' After a couple of months working on it he sent me back what he did and I was absolutely blown away."

NVRT said the two artists had originally planned to include a band in the song. Even though that didn't work out, he's stoked that ABSOLUTION is finally getting released.

This collab concludes the EP with a plea for self-forgiveness. It highlights the moment when we begin to accept our imperfections.

Ultimately, ANTIHERO says this project represents the desire to break free from the pain of our pasts. We hope these songs inspire you to do just that.
