'Get Cheesed, Vol. 1' out now featuring Ricky West, Madcore, Elle Rich, and more

The Netherlands might be known for windmills and Gouda, but don’t get it twisted — the country is also home to a bubbling underground bass movement. And leading that charge is Dubstep Netherlands, a grassroots collective of artists and promoters who are rebuilding their scene from the ground up.
After years of decline in local dubstep events and community engagement, this passionate crew came together with one shared mission: bring the energy back. What started as a WhatsApp group chat has turned into something way bigger — Discord communities, in-person studio sessions, and now, their first official compilation album: Get Cheesed Vol. 1.
And yes, the name is as Dutch as it gets — and that’s the point.
“Let’s be real — when people think of the Netherlands, one of the first things that comes to mind is cheese,” the crew told us. “Get Cheesed is our tongue-in-cheek way of saying: This is Dutch Dubstep—bold, flavorful, and a little unexpected.”
The 19-track release showcases a wide range of bass flavors, from gritty tearout to deep experimental low-end, repping both hometown heroes and rising names across the Dutch scene. With names like Ricky West, Elle Rich, Madcore, Gladde Paling, and Soulless Cvlt, it’s clear this isn’t just a fun project — it’s a cultural statement.
Here’s the full tracklist for Get Cheesed Vol. 1 (give them a follow on socials):
Ricky West – Cave of Flames
gladde paling – Tinnitus
Moldae – Nocturne
ELLE RICH – Tearout Syndrome
Soulless Cvlt – Black Phillip
Explorers of the Internet – Nutty
Le Lion – Goofy Flow
Entah – Mileage
R4yge – Zinloos Geweld
Pulsar – Orbit
H Y M N – Get It
Siem – Time Bomb
Cravox – 2013 Belde
NVRA – World Ending
Obia – Wazdeez VIP
Smokinspaze – Gizmo
From heavy-hitters to experimental cuts, the comp is a love letter to a scene that refuses to die quietly.
“Rather than locking into one specific subgenre or sound, we wanted the compilation to reflect the diversity and creativity within our local scene,” they said. “It’s important to us that this platform doesn’t just highlight the usual names, but also lifts up producers who are pushing boundaries.”
Outside the studio, Dubstep Netherlands has also been making waves with their Spotlight sessions — intimate, in-person recordings that give the community a chance to see local talent shine. Their first 2 sessions with Madcore and Elle Rich completely filled the room through word of mouth alone.

“People showed up solo, not knowing anyone, and left with new friends. That’s what it’s all about,” Dubstep Netherlands said.
And this is only the beginning. The crew has teased more sessions on the way, along with exclusive artist interviews and a special event in partnership with Ascension that they promise will be “something truly unique.”
If you’re tapped into the dubstep community, you already know that revival starts from the underground. Dubstep Netherlands is proof of that — showing what’s possible when passionate people come together with one mission: to bring the bass back.
